The orchestra supports two
charities and every major concert is given in aid of one of them.
So over the years the orchestra and its audiences have raised thousands
of pounds.

Our two charities are
The Heart of Kent Hospice
a registered charity specialising in palliative
care to the people of Maidstone, Kent and the surrounding local communities.
Its specialist team offers skilled care, comfort, compassion and hope
to people facing the challenge of life threatening illness. At any
one time it supports up to 280 patients, plus their families and carers.
As
a charity the services it offers are free of charge.
Demelza House
the Children's Hospice Charity that provides vital care and support
to terminally ill children and their families. In September
1998 Demelza House, set in 6 acres of land in Bobbing
near Sittingbourne, opened its doors to its first family. It provides respite,
symptom control, end of life care and bereavement support. Over 570 life
limited children and their families have benefitted from a wide range of
facilities.
